In a bizarre collaboration that challenges traditional expectations, Ubisoft has unveiled an virtual partnership between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the renowned anime series Attack on Titan. The unexpected holiday event operates from November 25 through December 22, offering no-cost extra story content for Shadows players.

Strange Mission Revealed

According to the official release, "An unusual confrontation draws protagonists Naoe and Yasuke into a new mission, where rumors of banned rituals and monstrous metamorphoses reverberate through the obscurity." The narrative introduces a "strangely attired woman named Ada" who tasks the characters with traveling into the Crystalline Cavern—a important location from Attack on Titan—to rescue her friend from a hidden cult.

The adventure focuses on "bizarre experiments and a fearsome foe" and is accessible to all players who have unlocked the Yasuke character.

Recognizable Locations and Metamorphoses

The teaser highlights the Hidden Temple from Attack on Titan redesigned as the Crystal Cave. This historic location was formerly where the Reiss royal family handed down the Founding Titan ability through eras. The preview concludes with a striking moment showing a character, probably the captive, morphing into a Titan that towers over Naoe and Yasuke.

Unique Prizes and Extra Material

Players who finish the quest will receive an special katana together with multiple items concealed throughout the area in concealed chests. The update also includes premium Attack on Titan item packs, featuring:
